410-884-RIDE (7433)

One of the most effective ways that Neighbor Ride recruits new volunteers is through engaging with them at community events throughout Howard County.

Two things you probably do know.  Neighbor Ride has been adding new clients (and rides) faster than ever before.  Our volunteers (YOU) are the driving force behind Neighbor Ride and we are so thankful for your generosity.

Three ways you can help:

  • If community organizations you are involved with are holding upcoming events and/or have e-newsletters that Neighbor Ride can leverage to spread the word about volunteering with Neighbor Ride, please contact Patrice or Andrew
  • Join us at our Neighbor Walk events around Lake Kittamaqundi from 10am to 11am on Oct 12th and 24th to share your Neighbor Ride experiences with prospective volunteers.
  • As always, share your Neighbor Ride experience with your friends, neighbors and colleagues – recruiting new volunteers is critical to our ability to keep up with our growing client base and keep our Ride Fill Rate above 96%.

Magnet Day

The Neighbor Ride car magnets are one of our biggest recruiting tools, so we have designated every 3rd Tuesday of the month as Magnet Day. We ask all volunteers to display the magnets on their cars throughout the day. Mark your calendars for October 17, November 20, and December 20! THE NEXT MAGNET DAY IS October 17th!

OBITUARIES

Our Heartfelt Condolences to the Families of:

Client – Ruth Ann Hester

Client – Herma Symes

Client – Jean Campen

Client – Philip Branch

Carol Jackson

With hearts beyond heavy, we share that our long time bookkeeper, Carol Jackson, passed away after a brave fight against cancer. Carol was a part of Neighbor Ride’s family from nearly the beginning – handling our finances and tirelessly supporting and championing our cause in countless ways. But, far more importantly, she was our treasured friend. We will miss her warmth, her indomitable spirit, and, perhaps most of all, her oh-so-beautiful giggle and smile.

Carol’s family has asked that contributions in her memory be sent to Neighbor Ride or the Casey Cares Foundation
