The TowerCares Foundation awarded $7,500 to Neighbor Ride to support subsidized transportation for Veterans, aged 60 and over, in Howard County. The free transportation available to Veterans through this grant provides the “wheels” needed to access medical care and to build upon community connections essential to overall well-being. The project also supports active military members by providing a safe transportation option for aging parents and offers a meaningful volunteer opportunity for local Veterans.
