As you are aware, the Howard County Health Department began pre-enrolling Howard County residents age 75 and over and residents age 65 – 74 to be sent information on signing-up for a vaccination appointment once they are eligible. Appointments for the age 75 plus group began today and appointments for the 65 – 74 year old group are scheduled to start February 8th. Additionally, other medical providers including Howard County General Hospital/Johns Hopkins Medicine are contacting their patients to schedule vaccinations as well.
Neighbor Ride Vaccination Rides
Neighbor Ride is already entering ride requests from eligible clients for their vaccinations appointments. We are also in the process of contacting our clients to make sure they are aware of the registration and have provided information to the Howard County Health Department and Office on Aging & Independence that they can share with the older adult residents they are working with that need transportation assistance.
How You Can Help
If you are able to sign-up to provide these rides, you can find them most easily based on destinations. The most common destinations right now are: HCC Gymnasium, HCGH, and the Seton Medical Group location in Catonsville. All vaccination rides will be denoted in TRIP NOTES and are currently set as one-hour appointments.
