YOU Have Been a Gift to So Many

Our recently updated Passenger Survey includes additional space for clients to personally express what Neighbor Ride’s service means to them. Their comments are truly all about you. With the year coming to a close, we wanted to share how grateful the seniors we serve are for the gifts of independence, friendship, and peace-of-mind that you provide as volunteer Drivers and Ride Coordinators.

Your drivers take good care of me… and now some of them are my friends.

Every driver I have ever had has been kind, considerate, and nice. They’ve given me freedom and independence.

Everyone is very nice. You are all amazing.

I truly appreciate the staff and drivers for their selfless commitment to this program.

You are an answer to a prayer! I thank God for you daily.

Thanks to all the volunteers for helping and building the community.

What a fantastic service to offer to someone who lives alone and no longer drives. All of the drivers have been great and you have given me the gift of independence.

Sincere thanks from my heart for all your caring, loving patience, your time, and for being there for so many people needing services. Wishing you God’s blessings and a very happy holiday.

It’s that time of year…With the possibility of snow looming, we want to remind our drivers about Neighbor Ride’s inclement weather policies:

  • For everyone’s safety, either the driver or the passenger may cancel a ride by calling the Neighbor Ride office.
  • In questionable weather, even if you are comfortable driving, please give your passenger a call on the day of the ride to confirm that he/she would still like to go out.
  • If the decision is made to cancel a ride, please contact the office to let us know. This is especially important if you are doing one leg of a round trip as it allows us to ensure that the second driver is notified about the cancellation.
