As a Neighbor Ride volunteer you already play an important role in making Howard County “Age Friendly.”  Please consider providing the county your input through the survey linked below.

age friendly

Howard County’s Age-Friendly Initiative wants your input – take our survey today!

Please take a few minutes to complete an important survey about aging in Howard County. The survey results will provide insight into what is most important to Howard County residents as we move toward creating a truly age-friendly community for all. Adults of all ages are encouraged to participate in the survey.

Giant Community Bag Program

We are so excited to share that Neighbor Ride has been selected to be a part of the Giant Food Community Bag Program, which is designed to make it easy for customers to contribute to their local community while supporting the environment. For the month of March, each time a reusable $2.50 Community Bag is purchased at the Giant Food located at 8805 Centre Park Drive – Columbia, $1 will be donated to Neighbor Ride. This is a great way to raise awareness, support the environment and fundraise for our cause. Please be sure to help spread the word. The more people who learn about the program and purchase the Community Bag during the month of March, the more money we will raise.

Nickels for Non-Profits

Neighbor Ride was honored to be selected as the Whole Foods – Columbia’s Nickels for Non-Profits featured nonprofit for July 1 through December 31, 2019. Nickels for Non-Profits is a community giving program through which Whole Foods donates a nickel to a chosen local non-profit each time a customer reuses a shopping bag. We are so grateful to everyone who brought their own bags and helped raise $1,688.45 to support our program!

Save the Date!

bingo

If you are wondering what you do with the extra liquor or giftcards you received this holiday season, remember that we would love to have them for our barrel of cheer and gift baskets at the Bingo event.

We are also looking for volunteers to be on the organizing committee.

Tickets are $25 and doors open at 6:00 pm and games begin at 7:00 pm.
