Heart Felt Thanks!

To ALL OF YOU for your willingness to adapt to our new Ride Match Portal.  We know that changing passwords and daily routines are hard for all of us.  Keep us in the loop if you run into any snafus.  We are working on adding interested passengers now and they are LOVING being able to confirm drivers, enter rides and make payments.

be heard

Even when you can’t speak for yourself.

One of the hardest things for people to figure out is how to start talking with loved ones about their health care wishes. Join us and learn how to give the gift of peace of mind to your family and loved ones in the event that you cannot speak for yourself by naming a health care agent and thinking through your preferences for care.

Neighbor Ride is pleased to host a Conversation Starter Workshop for our volunteers and other members of the community.  The session will be facilitated by Paul Gleichauf who is on the Board of the Horizon Foundation and a long time Neighbor Ride driver.

Thursday September 26
3:00 pm – 4:30 pm
Howard County Nonprofit Collaborative – Room B
9770 Patuxent Woods Dr, Columbia, MD 21046

Neighbor Ride won 3rd Place in the National Aging and Disability Transportation Center’s Photo Contest for the photo above of Driver Jim Wu and Passenger Evgeny Varshavsky.  This ride was photographed on one of the biggest snow days last winter.  CONGRATULATIONS and thank you!

Passenger Comments

“As an individual who relies on this service for getting my husband to medical appointments (he has cancer), I can’t begin to express my gratitude to the kind people who volunteer their time to Neighbor Ride. Each time when we thank the drivers, they have told us that they get a lot of satisfaction from doing it. I know that we are so grateful for their kindness!.”
