Mental Health First Aid Training for Older Adults

In a collaboration with the Howard County General Hospital and the HoCo Local Health Improvement Coalition and the Mental Health Association of Maryland, Neighbor Ride is happy to offer a Mental Health First Aid class for Older Adults. This is an 8-hour public education program which introduces participants to the unique risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems in adults over 65. The class will be held Monday, October 22nd from 8:30-5 pm in the Howard County General Wellness Center and is free of charge. A flyer with more information will be sent out next week but if you are interested in reserving a space, please email volunteer@neighborride.org.

50 + ExpoCall for Volunteers

 Passenger Comments

“I can always hear the “smile” in the volunteer’s voices when I call Neighbor Ride.”

“We might be crabby because we are scared or sick, but the volunteers always are so nice. They make me not so afraid anymore.“
