Volunteering for Neighbor Ride

As a Volunteer Driver or Ride Coordinator you have the opportunity to enhance the quality of life for Howard County seniors who choose to "age in place" by providing reliable and affordable transportation for them.  The rewards of helping seniors overcome isolation and maintain connections to their community are invaluable.

Volunteer Drivers must be 21 years of age or older, have valid MD drivers licenses and three years of recent driving experience.  They are asked to commit to a 3 to 4-hour block of time on a monthly, semi-monthly or weekly basis.

Volunteer Ride Coordinators must be 18 years of age or older and be comfortable handling telephone reservations, record keeping and basic computer tasks.  They are asked to commit to a 3 to 4-hour block of time on a weekly basis.

Other Volunteer Opportunities: special projects, community outreach events, general office help or Project volunteers are needed to assist with both ongoing and one-time marketing and development efforts and events.

Teen Opportunities available, call 410-884-RIDE (7433) for information.

YOU are needed to make Neighbor Ride a success.  Please click  HERE  or contact Rosemary Noble at (410) 884-RIDE (7433) or volunteer@neighborride.org to volunteer.
