Volunteering for Neighbor Ride
As a
Driver or Ride Coordinator you have the opportunity to enhance the
quality of life for Howard County seniors who choose to "age in
place" by providing reliable and affordable transportation for them.
The rewards of helping seniors overcome isolation and maintain
connections to their community are invaluable.
Volunteer Drivers: must be 21 years of age, able to pass criminal
background and driver record checks, have 3 points or less on
driver's license; be interested in seniors; be capable of
maintaining confidentiality
Volunteer Ride Coordinators must be 18 years of age or older and be
comfortable handling telephone reservations, record keeping and have
basic computer tasks and experience with database programs. A 3-4
hour block of time on a weekly or bimonthly basis is needed.
Other Volunteer Opportunities: special projects, community outreach events, general office help or Project volunteers are needed to assist with both ongoing and one-time marketing and development efforts and events.
YOU are
